FuelMix – an in house developed application – enable experts to compare different fuel composition scenarios and rate them in comparison with a baseline (current fuel usage):

• Optimization functions will converge towards a minimal cost and factors in the constraints that were specified by expert
• The application is tailored for the cement industry and used customized in-house non-linear solver module
• It enables several saving opportunities by providing optimal scenarios for fuel mixtures compositions
• FuelMix is distributed via the Holcim Industrial Application Store “IA_Updater” and is protected by internal Holcim license mechanism

• The tool enable user to evaluate technical feasibility and economical impact of fuel mix changes such as:
• Evaluation of fuel mix on periodical basis to help with planning of budget, forecast, MTP and CAPEX projects
• FuelMix uses a complexe and customized non-linear gradient optimisation to determine optimal fuel proportion
• Optimization and maximization of the Total Fuel Substitution (TSR) and targets significant reduction of the plant’s operational
• FuelMix is Holcim Intellectual Property application, tailored to the cement industry, with no direct market equivalent
