SAP Funds Management:

• Control expenditures and thus control the funding of business transactions of an organization ; for instance, in 2019 we organized a quaterly release of up to 80% of the total budget through the app limiting PO creation to the same
• Closely control the budget, with the following questions in mind:
• What funds will the areas of responsibility receive?
• Where do these funds come from (source of funds)?
• What are the funds used for? (use of funds)
• Control the finances of an organization by comparing commitment and actual values with current budget values permanently (vs after the fact without the tool) ; for instance, budget overruns are approved by CEO and remedial actions like transfer, decrease, defer and budeget anticipation can be implemented

• Alignment with the strategy LH 2022 “Building for Growth” (Financial strength pilar)
• More efficient way to control and monitor SG&A budget (Proactive Cost Management model)
• Stardardized Budget release process via a single tool that allows control of budget execution
• Ensuring committed savings and even exceeding the target of CHF 182 Mio SG&A (BY 2019)
• Encouraging the Financial performance culture in the region
